Copyright On All Artwork:
Copyright remains in the name of Jennifer Gjaltema.
Buyers require the Artists written consent for anything other than your personal use and enjoyment of the artwork.

Art Pricing is in Canadian Dollars:
Prices of Original Art are available with each piece of art in the Studio’s Gallery.
Print Prices for Fine Art, Giclée prints are available in the ‘Print Pricing Table’ above.
Prices in the ‘Print Pricing Table’ are based on: the size of a print; the material it is printed on; whether it is a limited or open addition print; or a Poster.
Quoted prices are based on a substrate of Fine Art Archival paper. Contact Us for pricing on other substrates such as canvas.
Discounts
Discounts will be applied as per the ‘Discount Table’ above. Both original paintings and prints count towards the number of paintings purchased.

Digital Downloads:
Are available for most of our artwork. Contact Us for details. The price is $55 per file. Files are provided in High Resolution .pdf, vector format. There are no discounts on Digital files.
Purchasers may not use digital files to create products for sale or distribution, or for any purpose other than the personal use and enjoyment of the purchaser.
Shipping and Handling:
Shipping is free within Canada and the USA. We will quote the shipping cost to other countries at the time of purchase. Contact us through the use of the “Inquire” button on our Gallery display and we will quote the shipping cost before you make your purchase decision.
Original art – We will ship Original art within 3-5 business days.
Art Prints – We will ship Prints within 5-8 business days.
We require a longer production time before shipping Giclée prints. This allows our production partner the time to carefully prepare your print with the highest production quality for your order based on your chosen size and substrate.
Returns:
Buyers may return undamaged artwork within 30 days of the date of sale. Buyers will be responsible for the cost of packaging and shipping to return the artwork to us. There will be a 15% restocking charge deducted from the amount of the return.
Buyers must advise us of artwork damaged in transit within 2 days of receipt of the artwork, showing that the shipping company was aware of the damage at the time of delivery. Buyers must consent to work with the Studio to resolve an insurance claim for damage. Following settlement of a claim the studio will issue a refund.
Tariffs, Import and Export Fees:
For sales outside of Canada – Buyers must establish for themselves if any tariffs or import fees apply at the time of purchase, as it may affect the final art pricing of your artwork.
For US customers – Based on U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Article 000001146, dated 2024-08-12, Original Paintings and Prints are exempt from import duties. The US Government may change these rules at any time. There is no clarity as to whether fine art will remain exempt.
Square Peg Art Studio will not accept responsibility for shipping costs to return art because of a failure of the buyer to check on prevailing regulations.
Payment Process:
The studio is establishing a new website payment process. While it is under development the following process applies:
- The Buyer clicks the purchase button associated with an artwork in the Gallery to access an email form to complete the details of a purchase and submits the form.
- The Buyer receives an online invoice for payment (using PayPal or a Credit/Debit card).
- This payment process is an interim one, necessary to allow our technical staff time to complete the installation of our own Studio website payment process.
Printing of Prints:
After a purchaser has specified their choice of size and substrate, (Canvas or Fine Art Archival paper), and paid their invoice, we will print and ship the artwork.
Print Size Definition:
- For Fine Art Archival paper – The Painting is ½ inch less on all sides than the paper size
- For Canvas Prints – The Painting is 2 inches less than the canvas size, (To allow material for stretching the canvas on a frame)
Original Paintings:
- Are “one-of-a-kind” works of art
- Signed by the Artist
- Each painting is accompanied by a “Certificate of Authenticity”
Limited Edition prints:
- Will not exceed 100 prints.
- Print a numbered and signed by the artist
- Each print is accompanied by a “Certificate of Authenticity”
Open Edition prints:
- Unlimited number sold.
- Prints signed by the artist.
- Each print is accompanied by a “Certificate of Authenticity”
Small Art prints:
Where available, these are inexpensive 8.5in. x 5.5in. prints, printed on Hot Press Archival Paper using dye based inks.
- No limit on the number sold.
- Not signed by the artist.
- A “Certificate of Authenticity” is NOT provided
Artwork Framing:
The buyer is responsible for framing purchased artwork. The frames and mats displayed on the website are examples only.
Paintings on Stretched Canvas have painted edges. Framing is a personal preference.
General:
Watermarks: There is no watermark on purchased artwork
Colour Caution: The actual colour of a painting, print or digital file that you purchase, may vary slightly from the one you see on your computer screen. This is because the colours on your screen depend on the specific settings of your computer, and everyone has different screen settings.
Using a Fine Art, Giclée printing process our production partners achieve the highest possible colour and quality replication with high-resolution, large-format printers using archival substrates and pigment-based inks.
